An Orthodox monastery on an island in northern Russia. A monk disrupts the life of his congregation
by his strange behavior. Indeed, according to rumor, man possesses the power to heal
the sick, to exorcise demons and predict the future ...
foreigners visiting the island. But the monk, who suffers from having committed a terrible fault
in his youth, considers himself unworthy of the interest he arouses.
