Pauline, a wealthy heiress, was married against her will by her father to one of her employees, François, who had made her pregnant.
When, a few months later, her husband announces to her that he wants to leave her, Pauline, furious, leaves death threats on the latter's phone.
Alexis Target, a worker who works in Pauline's house, hears the young woman utter these threats.
François died the same evening in a car accident.
On the day of the funeral, Alexis returns to see Pauline, claiming that he granted her wish and killed François.
